XEABAJ II (Santa Catarina Ixtahuacan) This group of 28 women recently formed in 2008 and have been working with Thirteen Threads since then. They are part of a community that was re-settled following the devastating landslides of Hurricane Stan in 2004. They have weaved in the past but wanted to find a new product. They took part in several candle-making workshops, where they learned to make decorative and simple taper candles. They have also been learning soap-making techniques.
