 Los Morales

The Los Morales group formed over 20 years ago.  There are currently 19 women weavers and jewelery makers in the group.   They make table runners, cotton knotted or woven bracelets, earrings, key chains, and many other products for export.  Members of the group have started their own businesses and diversified their products.  For example, the group makes and sells natural shampoo and jam, products which they learned to make through Thirteen Threads workshops.  In 2009, they also participated in a natural dying workshop and learned how to dye thread using locally found plants and resources.  They are currently working on new designs using naturally dyed thread.
